Term 3 in the Art Department involves a broad range of cultural influences ranging from Mexican Day of the Dead to African tribal mask design. Year 8 students are taking inspiration from the world famous Post-Impressionist artist Vincent Van Gogh. Students have continued to develop their drawing skills and used a range of media such as coloured pencil, oil pastels and 3D collage.
Year 11 students are completing their coursework with some fantastic independent personal final pieces. They will soon begin to create work for their externally set assignment for their GCSE assessment. Year 10 students are experimenting with a wide range of media and styles. Several students are developing 3D skills with clay while others are using mono printing, watercolours and acrylic paints.
