On Thursday 27th June it was an emotional day as it was our Yr11’s last day at St. Luke’s Academy.

Miss Dougan commented “It was a privilege to be able to spend time with the Year 11's on their last day at St. Lukes.  Each and everyone of the students today representing our school with amazing attitudes and behaviour.  It was a magical moment watching all the different personalities bond by supporting and encouraging each other, on a tough obstacle course!

Once finished students came back to school and met up with their parents for a celebration BBQ.  Mr Green cooked up a storm and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  Awards and presentations were given by Mrs Buckingham to celebrate what has been achieved during their time at St. Luke’s.  Whilst all will be leaving with lots of qualification and going onto further education, the real transformation has been the students themselves.  They have all really developed socially and emotionally and have gained a maturity and understanding of what life after school is going to be like.

A parent commented “This has been a lovely afternoon celebrating what the Yr11’s have achieved.  I am truly grateful to the school and all of the amazing staff for the work that they have done with my son over the past 5 years.  He is ready for the next stage of his education at College and that is down to what he has learnt here at St. Luke’s.”

We wish our Yr11’s all the best for the future and look forward to hearing how successful they are in the next stages of their education.  Reminder that results day is on Thursday 22nd August and hoping that their results reflect the hard work that they have put into their exams.  Students were treated to a fun day at Cotswolds Water Park, enjoying the inflatable course and other activities.
