ST. LUKE’S ACADEMY PROUD OF “GLOWING RESULTS”
Students from St. Luke's Academy, part of The White Horse Federation, are delighted to be celebrating their GCSE results today. These results are particularly strong given that this is only the second year that grading has returned to pre-pandemic standards. To help ensure all students were as prepared as possible for their first formal exams, St. Luke's Academy have provided additional revision sessions, 1-2-1 interventions and fantastic well-being support from our pastoral team. Standout results include:
- Continued improvement in Attainment 8 (A8) scores.
- Number of qualifications students achieving has increased for the fourth year running.
- The number of qualifications offered and achieved by students has increased for the fourth year running.
- Over 70% of students achieved six or more qualifications including Maths & English.
- The school's first ever GCSE English Literature qualification was achieved (this is the first time this has been offered).
Student, Roxanne Pound said: "I am so thrilled with my results! I joined St. Luke's at the end of Year 9 and could not have achieved these grades without all of the help that I have been given both in and out of the classroom. Thank you so much and I am looking forward to going onto College."
Student, Ben Osmond said: "I am speechless! I got so much more than I expected. This means I can go onto a higher level IT course at College which is amazing! Thank you everyone at St. Luke's in supporting me and believing in me."
Principal, Judith Buckingham of St Luke's Academy said: "I am so proud of all our fabulous students and our wonderful staff team who have worked together to exceed expectations and to further improve attainment. This will enable our students to access more high-level further education opportunities than ever before. We will miss all our departing students and wish them all the very best for their future."
Simon Cowley, interim CEO at The White Horse Federation, said: "Huge congratulations to year 11! Well done on your results. "I am very grateful to all our staff for the hard work they put in every day and I also want to thank all the parents and carers for their continued support, which we greatly appreciate."
